Artistic Minds Interview with Grecia

Which city are you from?

Los Angeles , born & raised

How long have you been creating for and what inspired you to start your Gems Character?

I've been drawing since I was a little munchkin , inspiration is everywhere if you just give it the time & day to pay attention.  The way my worm came to be is through shapes and sizes, didn't really imagine then it all added up & that's how my worm started.

Which top three cities would you like to travel to paint in and why?

To be honest I haven't thought big with my art like that, well at least not yet. I want to stay LA based until my art is worth going places to paint. I want it to be known that LA is where it all started off .

What things in life inspire you to create?

The daily things around us, someone can be walking down the street with a nice shirt and then a few minutes later I'll draw it on my worm aha it's the small, simple things that can make you see things differently. My friends inspire me, always pushing to my limits.

Which are your favorite mediums to use?

I use all types of markers from Prismas to Microns to gel pens from Staples . Whatever gets the job done you know.

What does the City of Los Angeles mean to you?

The city of Los Angeles I don't know what comes to your mind when you hear that name but when I hear it I think HOME. It's been my home all my life, it's a good part of me. It means a lot to me, I don't know how else to put it but I couldn't picture myself anywhere else but here with my friends and family, everything is here for me !!

Will you be showcasing your work in any up and coming shows?

Showcasing my art work is definitely a goal for me, I would love for people to see my work , hopefully I get that going this year .

Where can people find your art?

You can find my art work on Instagram @greyshaaa , I post all my art work there :)

Anybody you would like to thank?

I want to thank my close friends, who have been there since day 1 supporting my crazy drawings for telling me one day my art will take me far ( cross your fingers ) to all the other people who have been supporting me to new friends to random strangers . I greatly appreciate it, you have no idea how much ! Also, a big thank you to my grandpa, the man who got me into drawing of course his drawings are very different from mine . My grandpa is a very religious person, he would have me sit down with him and drawing stuff from the Bible but if he have never done that I would never have any interest in Art.  So thank you grandpa,  92 years old and still drawing !! True MVP in my book !!
